Parent Consulting
This is a parent-centered approach to remediating the deficits of your child's disability. Our services include on-site analysis, program design, program troubleshooting, video review, telephone conferences, individualized reports, and hands-on training.The approach empowers parents by giving them the knowledge and coaching needed, in order to guide their child to succeed in relationships while addressing:

- Consultation services typically first begin with a conversation between the family and the consultant to understand the client’s needs and answer any questions.
- The consultant conducts an assessment and observation of the client to develop initial behavioral objectives, such as language acquisition or reduction of problem behaviors. The consultant also focuses on determining the presence of any idiosyncratic behaviors which interfere with learning (e.g., chain responses, avoiding teaching materials, prompt-dependency, etc.).
- The consultant designs specific, individualized teaching procedures for each behavioral objective. To ensure a high learning rate, each procedure is tailored upon the client’s particular strengths and weakness.
- The consultant trains and empowers parents by helping them feel competent in their role as well as in the delivery of the techniques and explains why each specific procedure is necessary to achieve the goals.
- Finally, after training parents, the consultant provides necessary follow-up consultations and services by continually monitoring the client’s progress and ensuring treatment efficacy and development.

Educational Planning
We conduct formal and informal assessments of children, in order to assess present levels of functioning and prioritize educational needs. Using four components to provide data on unique aspects of behavior with individuals from 18 months of age into adulthood.
- Behavior is examined, I.e.: sensory perception & emotional regulation
- Sample vocalizations or verbal behavior
- Interaction/Social Communication: means and functions
- Communication: speech, language, or other communication system
When combined, these results provide a profile of abilities in spontaneous verbal behavior, social interaction, education level, and learning characteristics.

Educational Advocacy
Peak Potential Therapy can help families navigate the school system. Working with parents and professionals, in order to ensure that the child's educational needs are met. We help prepare for IEP meetings, analyze IEP's, complete evaluations, assist with placements, and help problem solve difficult

situations. School observations are frequently a related service of a home program, but these services can be offered to families who do not currently have a home program.

Expert Witness
