JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you are a professional who directs, supervises, evaluates, and provides speech and language therapy services to children with Autism and other disabilities in clients' homes, daycare, our offices, or community settings in Northeast Ohio.
Salary
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide the highest quality of client care in the assigned geographic service area
- Provide speech-language therapy to children with Autism and other disabilities on a one-to-one basis
- Develop and run social pragmatic groups of two to three children with Autism and other disabilities
- Record clinical and progress notes on a daily and quarterly basis
- Administer diagnostic assessments (formal and informal evaluations including the analysis of language samples) to children with Autism and other disabilities
- Provide training to other team members regarding communication levels, new speech-language strategies, and or for the needs of children with Autism and other disabilities
- Develop PECS programs
- Train staff and family members
- Develop communication home programs (visual schedules or social stories)
- Provide oral-motor intervention
Qualifications
Must have a desire to work with early intervention, early childhood aged, and school aged children with Autism or other disabilities. A minimum of one year of acute care or previous home care experience preferred.
- A member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association with a Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology.
- Licensed as a therapist in the State of Ohio.
- A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and one (1) full year of supervised work experience;
OR (CFY Considered)
- Meets the educational requirements for certification and is accumulating the supervised experience for certification.
